Scheffler’s collection was shown on Saturday, February 11 as part of Small Boutique Fashion Week, dedicated to emerging designers with collections of at least 10-15 pieces looking to sell their pieces in specialty shops and who need professional exposure.
Always one to play with shapes, this season Scheffler emphasized the shape of the bird’s beak (last year was the shape of umbrella), which encompassed leather straps and panels, unique seamlines that fit and flattered the body, and cluster beading. The collection showed strength, yet remained feminine and elegant. According to Scheffler, “The customer must be modern and willing to be heading towards the future.”
Her signature pieces featured rich colors including emerald green, gold and navy and included emphasized bows (leather and gold), chain dresses, keyhole dresses, studs, one shoulder looks and black sequins.
We’ve gotten exclusive video interviews with Allison describing more about her collection in the following short video clips and a photo gallery. For more information, visit www.allisonscheffler.com
