Pop-rocker
The collection spanned women’s wear including a variety of dresses, denim, skirts, bikinis, hoodies, footwear, handbags, wallets, purses and eyewear – of course all a bit “rock n’ roll attitude with a feminine edge,” inspired after the designer herself.
Lavigne’s love for bright colors, metallic foils, and burnout washes influenced the entire color scheme for the collection, which featured an array of loud graphics such as “Stop Making Sense,” “XX Smile,” and “This Aint’ No Pop Music,” against solid white and black silhouettes. Her pieces were constructed in soft sheer cottons, poly/cotton burnouts, acid washes, garment washed fleece and rayon blends.
The models, including Jenner, wore wearable, cute and feminine looks including a black dress with a tutu-shaped skirt, a series of graphic tees, black and white patterned shorts and simple dresses, hoodies and bikinis with graphic prints including the Union Jack flag and “Oh My Butterfly” designs.
Her site, AbbeyDawn.com, launched in 2010 with a mini-collection of high-quality and affordable t-shirts, tanks and hoodies, and has grown worldwide to incorporate new designs and categories including fashion tops, fleece, caps, scarves and swimwear. In addition to its availability online, Lavigne’s collection will be available on Punk.com and select retailers including Hot Topic and Journey.
