Next was Grilled Octopus with caramelized onions, followed by Saffron Seafood Orzotto topped with mussels, octopus, shrimp, and calamari. Lamb Chops were also served with honey glazed carrots and oregano jus. Lastly, we finished with Bread Pudding with almonds, cinnamon, chestnut gelato, and praline cream. Making each dish taste better were the specialty wines from Greece, curated by Nerai’s Wine Director, Michael Coll. Our favorite was the red wine (Rapsani, Thymiopoulos “Terra-Petra,” Thessaly 2016) served with the Lamb Chops. Lunch at Nerai has eager to go back for dinner.
Before the event ended, Greek National Tourism Organization North American Director Grigoria Kamaterou shared her passion for Greece and how the country is the perfect travel destination 365 days of the year.
