The Swedish brand’s playful but sophisticated hues of handsomely tailored outfits brightened up the cloudy day of NYFW. On February 14th, Ankar debuted their Autumn/Winter collection at Empire Hotel’s rooftop, which is located in front of Lincoln Center. Early bird fashion show-goers stopped by and enjoyed Ankar’s engaging presentation with the hotel’s delicious complimentary breakfast and coffee.
Co-hosted by Niklas Ankar and Cator Sparks, this fascinating men’s apparel showcase standardized the “Anker man” life style: the vision expanding from their expertly tailored attire which includes colorful separates, polished shirts, trousers, limited edition smoking coats and unique tartan morning coats with perfect hem lines. All of the fabrics used in this collection were milled in Italy. The simplicity of classic style jackets and the quality of textiles enhance each other, while layered cashmere sweaters and pocket-folded handkerchiefs add a refined gentlemen-esque flair. Moreover, a contrast of the dark and bright color combinations binds the wearer’s strong inner and outer originality. Ankar ‘s essential conviction of supporting and creating one’s unique style showed an unforgettable meaning and importance of fashion in life style.
