With Spring weather finally arriving on the east coast, we have put together just a few Spring inspired libations. Whether you’re planning a boozy brunch, garden party or an outdoor happy hour with friends – the cocktails below from Kahlúa (new salted caramel!), Malibu, Olmeca Altos and Pernod Absinthe will invigorate any occasion.
Malibu
1 part Malibu Island Spiced
1 part coconut cream
1 part pineapple juice
Fresh pineapple wedges
1 part Malibu original
½ part fresh lime juice
2/3 part simple syrup
Strawberries
1) Add the Malibu Island Spiced, coconut cream, pineapple juice and fresh pineapple wedges to a blender. Add a scoop of crushed ice. Blend for 45 seconds. Pour into a chilled highball glass.
2) Add the Malibu Original, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and strawberries to a blender. Add a scoop of crushed ice. Blend for 45 seconds. Float the second cocktail on top of the first. Garnish with a strawberry.
Fresa Picante
2 part Altos Plata
¾ part lime juice
½ part agave nectar
1 strawberry
3 jalapeño slices
Muddle the strawberry in a shaker. Add the rest of the ingredients, ice and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with jalapeño slices.
Kahlúa Salted Caramel Iced Coffee
1 part Kahlúa Salted Caramel
2 parts premium chilled coffee
Pour ingredients over ice. Add milk to taste and enjoy.
The Green Beast
1 part Pernod Absinthe
1 part simple syrup
1 part of fleshly squeezed lime juice
4 parts water
Thinly sliced cucumber wheel
Build in a Collins glass or a punch bowl over ice. Garnish with cucumber slices.
