Last night media and well wishers gathered at NYC’s trendy Dream Hotel for a sneak peek at OWN network’s first scripted series. Guests of the event were treated to champagne and bite sized goodies while waiting to view the extended teasers of the two new programs. The shows are written and directed by Tyler Perry and are the first collaborative effort between the famed director and Ms. Oprah Winfrey. This merger is a major development in television and promises to be lucrative. The two series debut next week and each features an ensemble cast of familiar faces with a few new comers. Guests of the event were also invited to a Q&A session as well as 1 on 1 interviews with the cast.
