The Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea NYC was the venue for The American Cancer Society the 14th Annual Taste of Hope. One of the most anticipated charity events of the year. The landmark space was transformed into a culinary wonderland. The Taste of Hope is the American Cancer Society’s signature event, featuring over 90 of New York’s most popular restaurants and beverage vendors. Guests enjoyed a walk-around tasting where they sampled signature dishes, premier wines and spirits, and inventive cocktails. Taste of Hope donations supports the mission of the American Cancer Society as they work to save lives, celebrate survivors, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

American Cancer Society’s Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway

One of our favorite organizations, The American Cancer Society hosted its first ever Taste of Hope Comes to Broadway sponsored by Wells Fargo on Monday, July 24^th at 318 West 47^th Street, a new condominium by Halsted Property Development Marketing. Taste of Hope was founded in 2005 by the American Cancer Society as a way to celebrate New York dining while raising funds to help the Society’s mission to fight for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. Between the early 1990s and 2013, the Society has seen a 20 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate, which means they have helped to avoid about 1.2million cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations.

The American Cancer Society once again wined and dined guests at their 11th annual Taste of Hope event. The annual event took place at the Metropolitan Pavilion. New York’s most exquisite and prestigious restaurants, chefs and beverage vendors filled the event space. Participating restaurants and chefs included cancer survivors Eric LeVine of Morris Tap & Grill and Chef Antonio Prontelli of Rock Center Café. Dishes served ranged from savory delicacies such as Fish Tacos from Almond, Mini Pulled Pork Sliders from Dinosaur Bar-B-QUE and Watermelon Gazpacho with Lobster Salad from La Fonda Del Sol to the sweet Southern Style Cupcakes from Doc’s Cake Shop and Banana Pudding from Magnolia Bakery.
