The annual ESPYS awards, honoring the best in sports, is no stranger to Los Angeles; in fact, as one of the premiere events of the year on the West Coast, GBK Productions brought the celebration and style to the occasion hosting their signature, annual celebrity gift lounge honoring ESPY Award Nominees and Presenters, as well as throwing a celebrity poker tournament to benefit Los Angeles area charities.

In true fashion, the lounge included a mix of sporty electronics and lifestyle brands, as well as food and music, allowing attendees to enjoy while also feeling celebrated.

Designers and Noon By Noor founders Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa take an unstructured, relaxed, albeit expected, approach to their Fall 2016 collection that debuted on February 14 at New York City’s The Dock, Skylight Moynihan Station during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  Combining classic menswear tailoring with fluid feminine silhouettes, the collection features wide-leg mannish pants, silk pajama tops and floor-grazing trench coats with a bathrobe-like coziness in colors of white, sapphire gray, taupe, caramel, and midnight blue.

Swatch Fall/Winter 2015

by xoJohn

Swatch is one of the world’s leading Swiss watch brand that has millions of buyers all around the globe. The fall-winter 2015 collection is a class apart and reflects what Swatch is really all about. The new collection is bold and exotic with vibrant colors and designs. Having one of these gorgeous pieces is a must and they are nothing less than a fashion statement that will definitely bring you in the spotlight. Each design, each pattern reflects and symbolizes something and choosing the right watch can and does say a lot about the person.

Tech-mode

The line of watches in the fall collection is as diverse as it can get. The ‘Tech-mode’ takes the concept of factory settings to a whole new level. It’s simple yet classy with a textured look; it is slightly towards a more subtle look. On the other hand, ‘Sport-mixer’ is an entirely different story. It comes in bright, bold colors and attracts attention wherever you go. If you are looking to make a fashion statement this is just the watch for you. Eccentric looking, this piece can jazz up your entire look. It comes in all happy colors of yellow, pink and blue and in many prints such as polka dots. This particular line took its inspiration from pop culture. Swatch has simply outdone itself by creating a line that pays tribute to its origins, homeland, and its heritage; the ‘GRÜEZI ALL!’ Get one of these and reminiscence about the Alps or the winters. Let it bring back the memories of a cold winter night where you are wrapped up in bundles of sweaters and sitting in front of a huge open fire with a cup of hot chocolate with friends or families. The patterns, prints and the texture all complement and reflect on the Swiss heritage.

APRÈS-SKI

For girls who are looking for a more feminine touch should definitely go for the ‘Exotic charm’.  Whereas the GRÜEZI ALL reminds you of the winters in the Alps this watch takes you to the exotic islands of the South. The collection is bold and striking and will definitely add a bit of extra glamour to your outfit of the day. One of the watches, the Malachite which means mirror of the soul, supposedly has the ability to reveal your inner feelings and look deep into your soul. This line reflects inner peace and harmony and has a calming effect and at the same time making an excellent fashion accessory. Next up is the ‘Street energy’. This line of Swatch is perfect for teenagers who are looking for something funky and different. Coming in various colors and designs the Street energy will certainly give out a message without you having to say a single word! Literal to its name the Street energy takes its inspiration form the streets! Last but not the least is the ‘APRÈS-SKI’ which is to be launched in November 2015. This line is a little more posh and sophisticated than the other watches in the fall winter collection but it is exceptionally stylish. Brilliant in there design, do go and see these watches when they are launched.

Naeem Khan gave us gala meets an evening out with his Spring/Summer 2016 collection. There were gowns that would make any woman the bell of the ball, and cocktail dresses that would be instant attention grabbers at any party. The inspiration for Khan’s most recent collection was “iconic muses of the ’50s and ’60s…Sophia Loren, Grace Kelly, Brigitte Bardot, and Jackie Kennedy.”

GANT was founded by Ukranian immigrant Bernard Gantmache and his sons in 1949. It all started as a family business built around a simple well constructed shirt and has since grown into a major fashion brand. The house of GANT is divided in three distinct sub-brands: GANT Originals, GANT Rugger and GANT Diamond G. All three brands were represented at New York Fashion Week via an eye opening presentation. The inspiration was classic preppy style with a modern edge.

Pyer Moss NYFW SS2016 Runway Presentation was a platform form for more than Fashion. Haitian Born Pyer Moss Founder and head designer Kerby–Jean Raymond had a statement to make. The show started with a 10-minute video chronicling the many victims of police violence across the country courtesy of the “Pyer Moss News Network”. The short film featured interviews with artist, journalists, celebrities and family members of victims of police violence, including Usher Raymond, Robert Verdi, Joel Towers, the dean of the Parsons School, Oscar Grant’s mother Wanda Johnson, Eric Garner’s daughter Emerald Garner, Sean Bell’s wife Nicole Bell. The video clips seen repeatedly in the last year took on fresh meaning with the new visceral editing and personal commentary.
