The prestigious organization hosted a very intimate crowd at the posh Rainbow Room in New York City. The event was a post-holiday luncheon for its members and friends of the company.

Author and Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and Martin Shafiroff hosted a reception this week to announce the honorees at the New York City Mission Society’s annual Champions for Children Gala on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Mandarin Oriental NY. This year’s honorees are legendary actress and singer Diahann Carroll, entrepreneur Don Peebles, and three lifetime members of the Mission Society’s Board of Directors: actress and philanthropist Dina Merrill Hartley, whose family has supported the Mission Society for four generations; Lloyd W. Brown, II; and, LTC Francis W. Kairson, Jr. (Ret).

Since beginning in 2011, Sailing Heals has hosted seaside lunches and yachting events in over 30 ports in nine different states for nearly 2,500 VIP guests. Invitations to participate in the Sailing Heals program are by word-of-mouth through medical personnel. The organization hosted an exclusive “Cocktails & Couture” style event the yacht club in Manhattan.

South Beach’s hottest new entertainment playground, Ricky’s South Beach, hosted Publisher Courtland Lantaff and Editor-in-Chief Jared Shapiro who welcomed the multi-hyphenate model, actress, social media sensation and fashion and beauty influencer to celebrate the magazine’s anniversary and her Ocean Drive cover debut. Last night, our wonderful friends at Kiehl’s held a fun Summer themed party to celebrate the newest skin care gem, Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream. The new cream visibly renews skin for a smoother texture and healthy radiance. Special ingredients include Korean Red Ginseng Root, which help accelerates cell renewal for a vibrant glow and New Zealand Manuka Honey that will strengthen skin barrier to smooth fine lines. We tried a few samples at the launch party and love how immediately smooth our hands felt. We’re looking forward to using more of the cream throughout Winter.

Art Basel: Diddy Surprises Crowd and Performs with Nas at 1 Oak

On Saturday, 1 OAK hosted the final night of their Art Basel pop-up at Miami Beach hotspot, Rockwell. During the unforgettable night, Nas performed and surprised the crowd by bringing out special guest Diddy.

During the high energy performance, Nas had all partygoers on their feet as he performed hits including “It Ain’t Hard to Tell”, “Hate me Now”, “One Mic”, “If I Ruled the World”, “Made You Look” and “Oochie Wally”. Notable guests included- Flo Rida, Venus Williams, DJ Cassidy, Johnny Manziel, and Daryl McDaniels of RUN DMC.

The James Beard Foundation(JBF), held its annual fall gala and fundraiser at the iconic Rainbow Room in New York City. This year’s theme, Singapore’s Culinary Crossroads, presented by Singapore Tourism Board, featured a flavorful combination of different cultures created by some of Singapore’s and America’s finest chefs. The unique, globe-spanning, gastronomic gathering featured Alfred Portale, Cat Cora, LG Han, Yew Eng Tong, and Cheryl Koh, along with Rainbow Room host chef Robert Aikens, and host pastry chef Kyung Kim.

Museum Of Arts And Design’s 2016 MAD Ball

Earlier this week, we stopped by Pier 60 for the Museum of Arts and Design gala, also known as The MAD Ball. The annual gala recognizes individuals from the arts and design field. This year’s honorees were not only inspiring but creatives that many upcoming artists look up to. The Visionaries! Awards honored design advocate, patron, and longtime MAD Trustee and CEO of Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation Charles S. Cohen; the late architect Zaha Hadid; Angela Missoni of the Italian design house MISSONI; and conceptual artist Yinka Shonibare MBE. The Museum also celebrated its Diamond Jubilee 60th Anniversary this year.
