Pergola’s Summer Soiree featured Petal Pops, Rosé, and Good Eats

Our friends at Pergola threw a fun soiree at their West 28th Street location in New York City. Pergola, a Mediterranean hotspot, is known for delicious food, beautiful decor, cocktails, and flavorful hookah. The party was sponsored by Moet Hennessy and featured Moet Chandon and Cape Mentelle Sauvignon Blanc wine from Western Australia. The invite only crowd was able to beat the sweltering heat by enjoying frozen, alcoholic Petal Pops from FrutaPOP, which is made with Tito’s Vodka, Elderflower, Lemonade and Edible Flowers. The Petal Pops can be purchased from Pergola’s Adult Lemonade Stand and Garden Bar.

Named after a city in Northern India, Benares draws inspiration from the region for its menu of diverse Indian Cuisine. Chef David Beck and restauranteur Inder Singh have combined their considerable talents and created a sophisticated dining experience. At present, Benares is found in two locations, one in Midtown and the other in lower Manhattan. Their Tribeca location is accessed by a simple white door in the middle of two elegant columns. Review: Alice’s Arbor in Brooklyn

by xoJohn

Location: 594 Classon Avenue, Brooklyn, NY

Cuisine: American

Best Dish: We adored the pork chops. The meat was succulent and the chutney was a tasty complement to the meaty chops.

Price: $$

Overall: A casual home-style eatery the whole family will enjoy.

Brooklyn welcomes Farm to Table Freshness with new eatery Alice’s Arbor. This Bed-Stuy gem offers classic seasonal American fare. The purveyors of this establishment are committed to providing a healthy alternative to preservative laden dining. To achieve this they have curated a seasonal menu showcasing the freshest vegetables and meats of the season. Each dish is prepared using only ingredients sourced from local farms. The Farm to Table concept is evident in the design of their space. The decor is reminiscent of a charming country bistro with reclaimed wood and vintage barn materials throughout. The space includes driftwood branch light fixtures, hanging mobiles scrounged from the Ashokan Reservoir in Upstate New York, and clustered glass beaker pendant light fixtures. It reminds us of family road trips down the east coast, sharing a meal with loved ones in a classic country kitchen.
