Restaurant Review: Il Tinello East

by xoJohn

For over 35 years Il Tinello has blessed Midtown Manhattan with its classic Italian cuisine. The west side has enjoyed a feast of handmade pasta sumptuous sauces and incredible hospitality and now that same energy has been brought to the east side.  Just a few blocks from the historic Grand Central Station is Il Tinello’s 2nd location. The 75-seat dining space is in a cozy nook on 46th street. At the entrance step up a few stairs to the hostess and take in the quaint dimly lit area.  We sat at a nice quiet table in the rear of the restaurant.

Tastemade Me Tacos debuted at NYC’s foodie hotspot, CITIZENS New York Food Hall. The taco haven is officially open and ready to fill your belly with the most delicious and flavorful tacos. We popped by the cozy eatery to overindulge, yes OVERindulge in some of the tastiest tacos in town. While on the scene, James Beard Award finalist Chef Wes Avila, made sure guests were enjoying his tasty creations which were inspired by Mexico, Mediterranean, Asia, and American Southwest flavors.

New York City is somewhat back to normal after the pandemic shut the city down. The hustle and bustle of the busy city are seeing some normalcy again with the opening of various attractions, including the largest Star Wars exhibition, called The Fans Strike Back.

I recently stopped by a VIP preview of this exciting exhibition. I will willingly admit, I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan but what I discovered is that you don’t have to be in order to enjoy this experience. Though some general knowledge of the franchise would be helpful.

Check Out One of NYC’s Best Kept Secrets, Hidden Lane

by xoJohn

Last week, for the first time, I stopped by Hidden Lane, located in the Gramercy area of New York City. I was very excited to check out this hidden gem. On the evening of my visit, Hidden Lane hosted an intimate Winter Cocktail Soiree. Fitting and much needed for such a chilly evening. Although Hidden Lane is known for serving up specialty cocktails, on this night guests got to indulge in pizza and meatless meatballs from Zazzy’s Pizza in addition to chocolate-covered doughnuts and cookies from Innocent Yesterday on the Upper East Side. The pepperoni pizza was my favorite by the way.

Money Heist: The Experience Opens in NYC

by xoJohn

Netflix is home to many popular shows like Squid Game and Stranger Things. One of my favorites among the slew of hits is Money Heist, a Spanish heist crime drama that is now in its 5th season. Netflix has teamed up with Fever for one of the most immersive experiences I’ve ever seen. Guests can now be a part of the gang and test their skills at breaking,
