This winter has been one of the roughest in years. Piles of snow weekly winter storms and frigid temps did not keep the fashion world from gathering at Lincoln Center and other venues to peruse next years looks. Timo Weiland and Nautica offered menswear looks designed for comfort as well as style. The looks offer Men a stylish way to brave the frigid temps. Wools , knits and all weather materials made up both collections. Nautica’s looks offered a playful mix of textures and hues. The bulk of the Nautica looks featured an outerwear piece.
Nautica
Just last week Nautica introduced the world to its Spring 2014 collection via the runway at Lincoln Center. A bevy of gorgeous male models strut their stuff along the catwalk clad in the latest by the Nautical themed brand. The looks ranged from beachy casual for workplace chic as the line is created to serve an active man in every aspect of his day. Every look was carefully crafted with functionality and style in mind. The colors were kept muted and mostly neutral with a few pops of brilliant color.
Sir Ernest Shackleton is not only the hero of one of the greatest endurance stories in history, he is also the inspiration for Nautica’s Fall 2013 collection. His explorations of Antarctica and other frozen tundra provided the muse for colorful bomber jackets and functional outerwear. Though fans of Nautica may not devote years of their lives to mastering unforgiving terrain, they do have an appreciation for navigating the urban landscape with style and ease. The looks of the collection varied from casual denim to sleek leather overcoats , all with Nautica’s masterful tailoring and uber masculine silhouette.
