A Conversation with Iggy & The German Kids

by xoJohn

Iggy is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from New York City. At the age of ten, he became a member of the Metropolitan children’s chorus, where he sang in over thirty different operas along with performing solo pieces in Tosca, Magic Flute and Billy Bud. When his voice changed at 14 he started writing pop-songs influenced by his love of the Beatles. A self-taught guitarist, bassist, and pianist, Iggy also took two years of classical voice training after leaving the MET. Throughout college he played and toured with a number of rock bands.

In addition to his music, Joe has also conquered the modeling world and is an accomplished actor having appeared in several commercials and TV shows. Much like Renegade, Galaxy is also very passionate about charity work, sponsoring and supporting, Hogar de Ninas Madre Albertina, a girl’s orphanage in Nicaragua. It’s time to switch out some of those tunes that were great for those dreary chilly nights for tunes that celebrate the coming of the warm weather. Be sure DaCav5’s “Dirty Style” is apart of that playlist.

On Friday October 15th, Les Nubians’ month long tour that started in L.A. came to a close at New York’s (Le) Poisson Rouge. The sister singing duo, accompanied by a world class nice piece band, unveiled new music from their upcoming third studio album Nu Revolution. Prior to the duo coming to the stage, J. Period warmed up the crowd spinning a mix of classic 70s and 80s R&B and Hip Hop.
