Lower East Side

Review: Ms. Yoo

by Desha Winborne

Location: 163 Allen Street, New York, NY 10002

Cuisine: Korean American

Best dish: Tteok N’ Cheese is one of the best items on the menu. It is filling and hearty with a buttery top and creamy cheesy center.

Price: $$

Overall: The atmosphere and locale make this an ideal date and adults only dinner choice. The menu offers enough unique and familiar items to appease even the most diverse group.

Jägermeister hosted the latest meeting of their traveling exclusive international party society the Jäger Stags Club at the Lower East Side hot spot Drexler’s. As a Jägermeister novice, I was eager to have my first taste of the best-selling imported liqueur in the U.S. The Herbal infused elixir did not disappoint.

Location: 50 Avenue B, New York, NY 10009

Cuisine: American

Best Dish: Two Words- Lobster Tacos. These are an amazing hybrid between a lobster roll and a fish taco. The crunchy shell holds up well with the large chunks of delicious lobster meat.

Overall: It’s more than a bar it’s an event. Despite its horror themed appearance Lovecraft is a fun relaxed place with a friendly staff and really good food. It’s a good place to enjoy after work or with a few friends. The space also makes a great venue for a first date the decor alone will give you something to talk about and if you’re lucky, Troy will be there to supply the soundtrack to your new love story.

Location: 167 Orchard Street

Cuisine:  Southern (Brunch)

Items: 3 entrees 1 side dish 2 cocktails

Best Dish: The patty melt was tasty. The beef was tender and well prepared. Pimento cheese is never our first choice for a burger but somehow on his sandwich it works.

Overall: The atmosphere is light and comfortable with an easy southern charm. This a great space for drinks and small plates but the brunch needs some improvement.
