Singer/Songwriter Rob Thomas teamed up with Bloomingdale’s and rock n roll lifestyle brand Lyric Culture on a limited edition apparel collection that debuted June 30th in New York. The line launched at Bloomingdale’s in conjunction with the singers second solo album titled “cradlesong” and features designs inspired by previous Thomas smash hits including “Streetcorner Symphony” and “Smooth”.

What a wonderful day for women worldwide. Guest of a Guest hosted “The Dress Rehearsal”; a One-Dress Campaign initiative to give a voice to silenced women around the world. In developing countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Sudan and many more; women are being silenced, isolated and misguided. Harmful traditions, conflict, and intimidation are catalyst to fuel these injustices against women. We can’t imagine this, because these issues are hardly being televised or proper attention is not being paid. Thank goodness for individuals such as Malcolm Harris, who not only created a platform to voice his and many others concerns, but the intelligence to create a clever approach.

Sequins, sky high heels, freshly lacquered nails, and exposed navels were sprinkled all over Bleu Magazine‘s 3rd Anniversary Party at Greenhouse. Oh and the ladies’ looked quite lovely as well. Yes, it was a scene of androgyny as I stepped into the blue- green tinted lounge. There were ladies in dresses and ladies in baggy jeans and tees. MOVES magazine invited us to an exquisite night out on the town as they celebrated the release of their Spring Double Issue with actors Carla Gugino & Ryan Reynolds gracing the covers. As we entered Pranna, we were greeted with the special Spring 2009 issue and delicious Hor’devours. Shortly after we arrived, the stunning Carla Gugino entered and greeted the guests before making her way to the red carpet for her photo op. Skyy Vodka served the fashionable crowd specialty one of a kind cocktails; Moves Delight (Skyy Infusions Citrus Vodka, Fresh Lime Juice, Simple Syrup/Sugar, Club Soda) and Sally Jupiter (Skyy Infusions Pineapple Vodka Fresh Lime, Simple Syrup). Both cocktails were smooth and mouth watering for the hot summer night. Other sponsors for the night included Ducati, the motor company showed off their lastest bike (see below).

One of our favorite fashion brands, H&M opened a new two-story store on New Yorks Upper East Side. The store also hosted the official launch party for the Fashion Against AIDS Collection by H&M and Designers Against AIDS (DAA). Prominent editors and celebs were in attendance, including singer Estelle who designed for the new line and Kelly Bensimon. Invited guests were able to shop and enjoy a generous 25% discount on all items in the store. We surely took advantage of that offer. Belvedere vodka provided the specialty cocktails (i.e. Raspberry Mojito).
The time was 9:23pm, and the temperature was 57 degrees last Thursday as Angela Ahrendts (Chief Executive Officer) and Christopher Bailey (Creative Director) of fashion brand Burberry celebrated the lighting of the new signage on top of the Burberry USA Headquarters. The illuminating enormous neon logo lite up the New York Skyline, 400 feet above the street and of course we were their to witness it all. A-listers Orlando Bloom, Claire Danes, Helena Christianson, Molly Sims, Rose McGowen, Justin Long, Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, Carla Gugino, and Harry Connick Jr filled the 55th-story rooftop terrace of the ultra chic and classy New York Palace Hotel on Madison avenue.
We were invited to attend Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashians‘ private Miami store opening for DASH. The beautiful sisters already concurred the fashion world with their Los Angeles store and we were with them as they embarked on a new boutique in Miami. The Miami location will feature summer essentials; swimsuits and cover ups. The official after party was held at the ultra chic Clevelander Hotel located on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach where world renowned DJ Tracy Young provided the music.

Last week record label executives, fans, and JSD were amongst the crowd inside SOBs, located in downtown New York City, where R&B superstar John Legend hosted an extraordinary showcase for his Home School Records label. The show featured his younger brother Vaughn Anthony. He performed several songs, showcasing his impeccable vocal range. One standout crowd favorite was his debut single, “In Your Shoes” (co-written with Legend). Anthony, began singing backup for his famous big brother nearly two years ago and definitely showed the crowd that talent runs in the family.
