Tonight, April 25, 2013, Housing Works will present New York City’s most popular interior design benefit event at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. Design on a Dime features 62 of the world’s top interior designers, who create unforgettable room vignettes with new merchandise, which is donated and then sold for 50 to 70 percent off retail pricing!
The opening night of the seventh annual Design on a Dime fundraising event took place last night at the expansive Metropolitan Pavilion. As one of the most sought after soirees of the season, it came as no surprise to find it packed to the brim and completely sold out for its premiere.

Housing works held its annual VIP shopping event for its fundraising initiative “Fashion For Action”. The soiree was attended by Chairman Thom Browne, Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose, Patricia Clarkson, Alex McCord, Simon van Kempen, Richie Rich, Loris Diran, Malan Breton, to name a few. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and hor’douvers as they placed bids on silent auction items. The Auction items were grouped and divided into categories ranging from fashionista to hipster.

Housing Works presented “Fashion for Action”. A charitable silent auction event to raise funds for housing, food, medical aid, job training and HIV prevention for more than 20,000 homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS. This four day event is sponsored by Co-chair Derek Lam, Olivia Palermo, HBO, Gilt and Essence Magazine.

Well New York, it’s sad but truly the last days of summer; and who better to spend it with, then your best friend. This is at least what well-known designers Charlotte Ronson and Shoshanna Gruss were thinking as they joined forces in support of Housing Works Tribeca. In a collaborative effort to provide lifesaving services to more than 20,000 homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV and AIDS, Allure Magazine Fashion Director and Housing Works board member Michael Carl
