HauteLook, a members-only website that offers exclusive, casual chic fashion at great prices hosted a media lounge during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at The Bryant Park Hotel. Guests enjoyed daily fashion and beauty gifts, touch-ups by professional makeup artists, light fare and refreshments. Sony Signature Collection VAIO® laptops were provided by Sony Style, and complimentary Wi-Fi to report live from the action. We at John Simon Daily had a moment to speak with Carlota Espinosa; Fashion Director at HauteLook. Dressed in all Black flashing a stunning smile she gladly spoke with us about the future of Hautelook.
JSD: How long have you been with HauteLook?
Carlota: I was the second employee of the company. I’ve seen it evolve to what it has become.
JSD: Where do you see HauteLook in 5 years?
Carlota: We hope to keep shopping fun and affordable. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to spend a lot to look great.
JSD: Tell us a bit about the lounge HauteLook has created
Carlota: We wanted to have a presence at Fashion Week, we wanted to create something for the bloggers because you guys have been amazing to us. Somewhere you can come and relax, kind of like a remote office. We are also hosting events all this week Kelly Bensimon debuting her jewelry, Felix Rey preview, and Alvin Valley.
