Greenwich Polo Club Hosted East Coast Gold Cup Final

The Greenwich Polo Club, one of the premier polo clubs in the world, hosted the East Coast Gold Cup Final. The tournament saw six teams, up to 16 goals, compete in the East Coast Gold Cup leading to the finale. Altaris and Ellipse Polo Teams competed in the high goal tournament. Altaris defeated Ellipse by a score of 12-11. The final was the club’s last match for the June and July East Coast High Goal series. The Greenwich Polo Club will next host the East Coast Open starting Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Inside the 9th Annual Greenwich Wine + Food Festival

Greenwich Wine + Food Festival celebrated its 9^th year on Saturday, September 21, 2019. The annual event combines food with philanthropy as a portion of all proceeds go to charitable causes. This year, the main beneficiary is Connecticut based, Food Rescue US. Founded by lifelong friends Jeff Schacher and Kevin Mullins, Food Rescue has become a leader in reducing food waste and hunger in the U.S. Food Rescue’s app makes giving back easier, by connecting volunteers with sources of surplus food and organizations that feed the hungry. With participation in over 10 states and the latest technology Food Rescue has delivered over 6.8 million meals. In addition to the Food Rescue, the Town of Greenwich Parks and Recreation Foundation is also a beneficiary for this year’s event.

One of our favorite charitable festivals will be returning this weekend, The 2019 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival presented by PepsiCo. This year’s festival will benefit Food Rescue US and the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation Foundation. This marks the ninth year of the annual event. The 2019 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival will take place on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, CT.

Tim McGraw to Perform at Greenwich Wine + Food Festival

The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival presented by PepsiCo will welcome music superstar Tim McGraw to this year’s festival. The iconic performer will headline the festivities on Saturday, September 22 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich and his performance will cap the eighth annual event – which is held on September 21 and 22 – and will also feature appearances by culinary celebrities Daniel Boulud, Scott Conant, Mary Giuliani, Alex Guarnaschelli and Adam Richman.

On Saturday, September 23rd we spent a sun-drenched day enjoying the 2017 Greenwich Wine + Food Festival, presented by Serendipity Magazine. Held at Greenwich’s Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, the event introduces brands, restaurants, and foodies to each other via a day of demonstrations, workshops, and tastings. The day began with a Grand Tasting, where vendors offered samples of their best dishes. Restaurants and caterers from all over Connecticut presented innovative fresh flavors to the hungry guests. The dishes ranged from tacos to cupcakes, covering a wide range of tastes. One of our favorite bites of the day was Back 40 Kitchen’s delectable beef cheek taco.
