Most Tequila connoisseurs assume Jose Cuervo is merely the stuff of legends and a made up character, but this is not true. Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo was a real guy and he created tequila over 250 years ago. Jose Cuervo was Jose Cuervo before Mexico was even Mexico.
