Carlos Campos

The Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2020 collection uses bold colors, the same way a grammarian uses periods, to punctuate a thought. The designer takes fun and breezy attitude by adding pops of cyan, sapphire and midnight navy to his signature palette of blue, white and tan.

Subtlety has always been the name of the game with Carlos Campos. His Spring/Summer 2016 collection is inspired by the “Forastero” – the stranger, the outsider – the man alone who stands out but is wholly a mystery to all. Campos conveys this theme with a solid line of muted, hunter green garments, peppered with palm prints, pops of camel, and one solitary red, camo, sleeveless suit. The structuring remains relaxed, as we are accustomed, but the double-breasted, belted blazers,  give the line a more rigid, upright, and utilitarian look.

Carlos Campos Fall/Winter 2015 Menswear Collection

by John Stolen

Carlos Campos delivered a flawlessly executed collection that showcases his signature texture blocking and layered images. Keeping the colors in a muted range (navy, grey, black, white, and the occasional deep emerald) the F/W 2015 season is all about layered pattern – color-blocked raglan button-downs on checked wool trousers, and geo collar prints under charcoal grey pinstripes. The Rafafans influence is clear as graphic silhouettes peek out from under woolen open-collar coats, and neoprene is contrasted against velveteen. Campos plays with textures to create a dreamlike atmosphere in which ever-evolving perception is key.

Menswear designer Carlos Campos is a visionary who never disappoints, and the brand’s fall ’14 collection is no different. One of the best in the business jolted the start of NY Fashion Week, with a style that looks like the male version of “American Horror Story: Coven” – and I’m here for it.

Carlos Campos Spring 2014 Collection

by Shawn Frego

In sports, there is often a disconnect between player and fan. The player receives all of the glory while the fan merely sheds this glory. The player has the fabulous lifestyle that the fan, essentially, pays for. Carlos Campos attempts to merge these separate entities within his S/S 2014 collection. Inspired by the fundamental relationship between soccer player and soccer fan, their mutual love of the game, Campos designed a collection fitting for all men.
