Summer is the time to leave the four walls of your apartment behind and get out into the fresh air. Many bars around the city offer outdoor options but not all are created equal. Below are some of our favorite spaces around the city that allow you to enjoy the sunshine.

The Bronx Brewery
I find myself in the Bronx more and more these days! My gym Grit City NYC, lunches at Mottley Kitchen, Yankee Games and The Bronx Brewery. The Bronx Brewery is spacious with its brewery, taproom & backyard space. While it has recently expanded around the city, their OG spot is in the Port Morris Neighborhood of the Bronx. The owners believe in beer’s power to build community and they strive to bring people together, while celebrating the rich and diverse creative scene in their home borough through vibrant culture that uses beer, art, food, and music to inspire. They serve beer – plus a full

Dearest Readers, the event of the season is upon us in New York City. But it’s not what you think. Forget the Met Gala and Fashion Week, this is a different social season. Don your best regency attire from Modiste (or Macy’s) and get ready to step into the magical world of Bridgerton. An immersive experience with a multitude of attractions — dancing, live music, cocktails, and surprises around every corner — you’ll delight in the beauty of this meticulously curated event that transports you to the world of The Queen, Lady Whistedown, and the Bridgerton brood.

Space 54 Hosts Winter Cocktail Party

by xoJohn

If you haven’t heard about Space 54, we’re here to tell you all about it. It is a gorgeous venue located in the heart of midtown east Manhattan. The luxury event space is owned by Elvira Grau and Jim Grau. They so graciously welcomed over 150 NYC invite-only guests for a special Winter cocktail party on Monday, January 30th. Attendees were greeted by a performer donning a metal dress that held several champagne flutes. As we entered, we noticed how spacious and open the space was.

Diner en Blanc Returns After a Two-Year Hiatus

by xoJohn

Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon and after a brief breaking due to that virus we won’t mention, is returning to the big apple. It’s one of our favorite experiences to attend. Le Diner en Blac is roughly attended by over 5000 guests dressed Head-To-Toe in white to experience the Culinary Event of the Year.

Over the course of the evening, the diners eat and celebrate amid live music, and dancing, complete with festive white balloons. Many spend weeks in advance planning their menus. Guests also use the venue to express their unique fashion and design style; the often elaborate and creative outfits, fantastical hats, and decorative table settings are always a fabulous spectacle.

To be part of the celebrations, people can sign up now by visiting newyork.dinerenblanc.com and clicking on the Register tab.

To maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as stay true to tradition, guests must observe certain requirements and follow a few key rules:

An Erotic Evening at The Museum of Sex

by xoJohn

Since its opening in October 2002, the Museum of Sex has been titillating patrons with its carefully curated selection of exhibitions, artifacts, and memorabilia. There have been 30 exhibitions and 6 virtual installations so far, each one an eye-opening glimpse into human sexuality. One of their newest and most popular exhibitions is Super Funland: Journey into the Erotic Carnival. This exhibition is a hands-on thrilling spectacle celebrating sex and intimacy as a wild carnival of images, games, and adult-themed rides.

New York City is somewhat back to normal after the pandemic shut the city down. The hustle and bustle of the busy city are seeing some normalcy again with the opening of various attractions, including the largest Star Wars exhibition, called The Fans Strike Back.

I recently stopped by a VIP preview of this exciting exhibition. I will willingly admit, I’m not the biggest Star Wars fan but what I discovered is that you don’t have to be in order to enjoy this experience. Though some general knowledge of the franchise would be helpful.
