Rain has not been on our side this Summer in New York, but our crew was lucky enough to get beautiful weather on our trip out to the Meadow Brook Polo Club & Academy in Old Westbury. Just a gallop away from Manhattan on the Long Island Railroad, we were transported to the ultimate summer social scene.

Diner en Blanc Returns After a Two-Year Hiatus

by xoJohn

Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon and after a brief breaking due to that virus we won’t mention, is returning to the big apple. It’s one of our favorite experiences to attend. Le Diner en Blac is roughly attended by over 5000 guests dressed Head-To-Toe in white to experience the Culinary Event of the Year.

Over the course of the evening, the diners eat and celebrate amid live music, and dancing, complete with festive white balloons. Many spend weeks in advance planning their menus. Guests also use the venue to express their unique fashion and design style; the often elaborate and creative outfits, fantastical hats, and decorative table settings are always a fabulous spectacle.

To be part of the celebrations, people can sign up now by visiting newyork.dinerenblanc.com and clicking on the Register tab.

To maintain the uniqueness of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as stay true to tradition, guests must observe certain requirements and follow a few key rules:

New York City aka The Big Apple is without a doubt a huge place. It seems almost impossible to see everything New York City has to offer. Personally speaking, I’ve known New Yorkers and locals who haven’t seen parts of the 5 boroughs that make up NYC. The city is inundated with tourist traps that frankly make you look like the stereotypical tourist. Like A Local Tours differs in many ways with their unique selection of tours and experiences.

Gerber Group will be operating The Pool Bar and Observation Deck at the highly anticipated TWA Hotel, opening May 15.

Always refreshing, the water in the 63-by-20-foot infinity edge pool offers a much-needed respite during sweltering Summers. Come winter, it turns into a pool-cuzzi — the water can be heated up to 100 degrees! Whatever the weather, the H2O is perpetually pristine: the highly filtered water is purified every 30 minutes (a standard pool recirculates every 6 hours!).
