Slate NY Debuted its New Al Fresco Dining Area

Slate, New York City’s favorite adult playground, now has fun on the menu inside and out.  The Chelsea hotspot debuted its new al fresco dining area, playfully dubbed the Penalty Box. The spacious setup is filled with high-top tables and plenty of games and an oversized moon man that’s perfect for photo ops.  Slate offers an out-of-this-world array of attractions ranging from mini bowling and arcade games, to ping pong and pool. You can channel your competitive spirit with a round of Skee-Ball or an epic showdown on an 8-player foosball table. There’s even a slide to get guests from the main floor to the activity-filled level below.

The gala honored long-time members of the MSM Board of Trustees Marcia Clay Hamilton and Edward Lowenthal. A celebration of the School’s prestigious Opera Studies Program, the evening featured performances by mezzo-soprano and two-time Grammy Award winner, Metropolitan Opera Artist J’Nai Bridges (BM’09), former New York Yankee, Latin Grammy-nominated jazz guitarist and MSM Trustee Bernie Williams (BM’16), recent MSM graduates and current MSM students, among other notable performers. All the scheduled performers were either MSM alumni or current students.

The 6th New York Rum Festival & Congress successfully held their two-day event this Saturday, June 10th at the Metropolitan Pavilion, and Monday, June 12th at the Astor Learning Centre. The New York Rum Festival kicked off a week-long schedule of spirits events in the city with around 150 rums available for tasting on-site from more than 35+ vendors.

Space 54 Hosts Winter Cocktail Party

If you haven’t heard about Space 54, we’re here to tell you all about it. It is a gorgeous venue located in the heart of midtown east Manhattan. The luxury event space is owned by Elvira Grau and Jim Grau. They so graciously welcomed over 150 NYC invite-only guests for a special Winter cocktail party on Monday, January 30th. Attendees were greeted by a performer donning a metal dress that held several champagne flutes. As we entered, we noticed how spacious and open the space was.

The 25th Annual Collaborating for a Cure Gala, one of New York City’s favorite charity events celebrated its silver anniversary at Cipriani Wall Street. The “fun-raiser as opposed to the fundraiser” as described by Michael Nierenberg raised more than $6 million towards the goal of funding the next five years of crucial SWCRF cancer research programs such as the Partnership for Aging and Cancer Research Program, the SWCRF Institute Without Walls, and the Women’s Cancer Research Program.
