Last night in New York City, BVLGARI and Vanity Fair co-hosted an exclusive cocktail reception and panel at Spring Studios to premiere two films, ‘Celestial’ and ‘The 4th Wave,’ ahead of Tribeca Film Festival 2019. Focused on young independent female pioneers in the arts who are blazing their own paths in male-dominated fields, the two films find common ground around how generational perspectives in family and technology impact their journeys.

Ashanti and Arden Cho Shine in Metallic at STUCK Premiere
This week, the Crosby Street Hotel was the site of the New York Premiere of the independent modern musical film STUCK from director Michael Berry. The film stars Grammy Award-winning artist and actress Ashanti and Teen Wolf star Arden Cho who were both in attendance along with members of the cast, crew, and select media invitees.

Jordan is a tech mogul with a chip on her shoulder. After years of being bullied as a child, she grew up to be a bully herself, wreaking havoc on anyone who crosses her path. Of all of the people, Jordan terrorizes her assistant April gets it the worst. All of Jordyn’s bad behavior comes to a screeching halt when she’s cursed by a little girl she insulted. The curse makes Jordan look 13 again, forcing her to relive the worst years of her life and perhaps learn a lesson or two.

In search of a more relaxed lifestyle, Dr. Louis Creed and family move from fast-paced Boston to the small rural town of Ludlow. Not long after their move, they discover a mysterious cemetery in the woods behind their home. The cemetery is a macabre monument of sorts, where locals have buried their furry family members for decades. Tragedy strikes when their own cat, Church, is struck by a speeding semi. A kind neighbor offers to help bury the feline and leads Dr. Creed to a mysterious clearing just beyond the cemetery.
Last night in New York City, The New York Public Library was filled with over 200 guests for a private screening of Emilio Estevez’s newest film, The Public. Estevez wrote, directed, and starred in the film. The movie was also executive produced by Living The Dream Films founder, Ray Bouderau. His credits include London Fields and The Clapper.

Adelaide Wilson can’t shake the feeling that danger is amiss. The return to her childhood vacation home awakens a fear in her she thought had long passed. Her instinct proves correct as a horde of doppelgangers sets their sights on her and her family. The vacation plans grind to a screeching halt as the Wilsons enter a fight for their lives against a mysterious threat bearing an uncanny resemblance to themselves.
The Tribeca Film Festival returns to New York City from April 24 to May 5. The Tribeca Film Festival will feature 103 titles. Expect world premieres of Georgetown, The Kill, Team, Dreamland, to name a few.

U.S. NARRATIVE COMPETITION
Tribeca’s U.S. Narrative Competition showcases extraordinary work from breakout independent voices and distinguished filmmaking talent. These ten world premieres will vie for the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Actress. Last year, the award for Best Narrative Feature went to Kent Jones’ Diane while Jeffrey Wright was awarded Best Actor for his role in O.G. Other previous films from this section include Reed Morano’s Meadowland (2015), Ingrid Jungermann’s Women Who Kill (2016), and Nia DaCosta’s Little Woods (2018).

The never before seen movie featuring The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, recording the most successful gospel album of all time, Amazing Grace. The documentary is produced and realized by Alan Elliott. Amazing Grace is crafted from never before seen footage originally captured in 1972.
Amazing Grace will be in select theaters on April 5, 2019.
