It’s Happy Hour Somewhere

One of our favorite brands, Pinnacle Vodka is kicking off Fall with a new flavor! I was excited to hear that Pinnacle will be adding CranApple to its already impressive portfolio of flavored vodka. As a fan of the CranApple flavor, I could not wait to give this new flavor a try. CranApple is a blend of tart cranberries and sweet green apples, complete with the delectably smooth finish.

Anejo Takes on Tribeca with Milagro

From the moment you walk in you can immediately feel the energy of Mexico’s premier spirit Tequila come to life. We stopped in to experience Anejo newest location, with great treats from Chef Angelo Sosa and Milagro Tequila. Anejo has been known for its authentic yet rustic Mexican style and heritage. For this location in particular, they surely did not disappoint. The decor is just lovely, warm and inviting. We marveled at the chandeliers and over exposed brick walls. We were greeted with refreshing cucumber and lemon Milagro infused cocktails and mingled with the likes of Angie Martinez from Power 105.

Celebrate National S’mores Day with Pinnacle Vodka

S’mores have been around for many generations, dating back to the 1920’s! To date its a favorite amongst dessert aficionados like ourselves. The roasted marshmallow with a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker are heaven sent!  They’re so delicious that these little classic treats get their own special day. Did you know this Sunday, August 10th, is nationally dedicated to our favorite campfire treat?

Our friends at Pinnacle Vodka have put a twist on the traditional S’more by serving up three very flavorful cocktails! Of course we have the recipes so you can play mixologist at home or at your next outing.

Gimme S’moresGimme S'Mores
1 part Pinnacle Marshmallow Vodka
1 part JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Chili Liqueur
2 part half & half
Shake with ice and strain into a martini glass rimmed with graham cracker crumbs. Drizzle
with chocolate syrup.

Over the weekend, Russell and Danny Simmons hosted the 15th Annual ART FOR LIFE gala sponsored by BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Gin. As the official kick off to BOMBAY SAPPHIRE’s 5th Annual Artisan Series program, Naughty by Nature helped celebrate this year’s benefit with a crowd of 750 supporters. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Foundation’s signature arts education and gallery programs, directly serving over 3,000 inner-city youth each year.

At a Bombay sponsored event, of course the bar was filled with their specialty cocktails. We have the recipes so you too can serve play mixologist at home.

Perfect Cocktails for National Tequila Day

Yes, there is a National Tequila Day and it all goes down on July 24th. Here are three festive cocktails that are sure to have you busting pinatas and shaking your maracas in no time!

Sandia Frescao (Sweet & Spicy!)

TA-2014 Sandia Fresca HR
1 ½ oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila

¼ oz. Cointreau

2 oz. fresh-pressed watermelon juice (or 1 oz. of a good-quality bottled puree)

½ oz. fresh-squeezed lime juice

½ oz. ginger syrup*

Build Instructions: Build in a mixing glass, then shake & pour over fresh ice in a Collins glass.  Garnish with a watermelon wedge, if desired.

*Ginger Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine ½ pound fresh ginger and ½ liter Tres Agave Nectar over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a very light boil, stirring occasionally. Strain & allow the mixture to cool for 25 minutes.

Moët & Chandon is celebrating the debut of their first ever global campaign created for Nectar Impérial Rosé, the historical Rosé Champagne leader in the US market. Directed by Acclaimed Director Samuel Bayer and produced by Omelet, an LA-based branding, marketing and entertainment company, the campaign will launch today as paid digital media in 30-second and 15-second format.

Summer is such a wonderful season to experiment with flavorful food and cocktails. Pinnacle Vodka had the right idea by getting a bunch of foodies and cocktail enthusiasts together for a night of cooking demos and cocktailing! The premium vodka brand cleverly introduced their Summer of Unexpected Pairings menu. The night was hosted by Food Network’s fan-favorite Chef Claire Robinson, who not only knows her way around a kitchen but exudes great energy and is completely down to earth.

This special menu does not include your traditional burgers and hot dogs. Which I must say is refreshing. Food should always be fun! Thankfully Chef Robinson and Pinnacle Vodka changed that. Working with the Pinnacle Vodka mixologist, Claire developed a series of simple, seasonal dishes designed to pair perfectly with Pinnacle’s specialty cocktails.

Monday Night is usually spent lamenting the past hours of work and hustling onto a crowded commute back home, but we took a detour this time. Tucked away in the Chelsea Piers Golf Club, we spent the evening with world- renowned English golfer Sir Nick Faldo, hosted by Glenmorangie Single Malt Scotch Whisky as a part of their ‘Well made, Well played’ series for their third year as the Official Spirit of The Golf Open.
