All you have to say is Lupe Fiasco! I’m there. I have seen him perform several times since his debut album Food & Liquor officially released in the Fall of 2006. I remember hearing his cameo on Kanye West’s Touch the Sky single (Late Registration) and wondered “Who is this kid?” Lucky for me, my Chicago friends hooked me up with Lupe’s mixtapes. Once I heard Switch (Science Project), I became an instant fan.

Creativity, vibrant colors and excellent music filled the Metropolitan Pavillion last Thursday for Housing Works‘ 5th Annual Design on a Dime Benefit presented by K-Mart and Sears. Top interior designers strut their stuff through numerous room displays in the large venue. Featuring furniture, linens. and new housewares. From Jaclyn Smith of the original Charlie’s Angels, actress Parker Posey, to the uber fabulous Ty Pennington were present to show off their collections and support at the extraordinary affair. While admiring the artistic visions of these home enhancing geniuses, attendees were able to purchase and bid on items included in each set up.

Last week, one of our favorite Fashion PR agencies Shine Media PR held its Fall 2009 Preview at New York’s popular eatery Sarabeth on Central Park South, who also provided guests with a delicious breakfast. Shine Media was founded by Robyn Epstein in 2004 and in 2005 she joined forces with her husband, Mauricio Bouzas to create a premier agency that specializes in product placement, strategic planning, celebrity placement, special events, and host of other services. This was our second event with Shine Media, and we were thoroughly impressed by their professionalism and knowledge of the products. Kudos to their entire team for showing us such hospitality.
