Jägermeister Stag’s Club Takes The LES

Jägermeister hosted the latest meeting of their traveling exclusive international party society the Jäger Stags Club at the Lower East Side hot spot Drexler’s. As a Jägermeister novice, I was eager to have my first taste of the best-selling imported liqueur in the U.S. The Herbal infused elixir did not disappoint.

The Drexler mixologists created a variety of Jägermeister cocktails to celebrate the occasion. The JÄGNOG was my personal favorite, a sophisticated re-imagining of traditional egg nog. Jägermeister’s cinnamon, cardamom, and spicy notes really the evoked the taste of the original with flavors taken to new levels. It is the perfect cocktail for the Holidays.

The night was hosted by Nils Boese, a Jägermeister Global Brand Ambassador from Hildesheim, Germany. Mr. Boese enthusiastically announced the event was also a celebration of Willy Shine, the globally acclaimed mixologist and newly appointed Jägermeister Brand Meister. The Jägermeister team kept attendees fully entertained with a soulful soundtrack, a tattoo station, and a live art competition.

1 part 5 Year Old Rum
1 part Amburana Cachaca
1 part Heavy Cream
1 Egg
Grated Nutmeg

Build all ingredients in a shaker. Dry shake for five seconds. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain in a chilled coupe glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

Moves like Jager

1/2 part Jägermeister
1 part Rye
1 part Applejack
1/4 part Simple Syrup
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Orange Peel

Build all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 15-20 seconds. Strain over fresh ice and garnish with an expressed orange peel.

Rim with a Few

2 parts Jägermeister
1 part Bourbon
1 part Lemon Juice
Apple Slice
Star Anise

Build all ingredients in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain in a chilled coupe glass that has been rimmed with your choice of cinnamon, ginger or pulverized orange peel. Garnish with an apple slice and star anise.

1 part Anejo Tequila
1/4 part Agave Nectar
Absinthe Rinse
Orange Peel
Star Anise

Rinse old-fashioned glass with Absinthe. Build remaining ingredients in the glass. Stir to temperature. Garnish with orange peel and star anise.

Pretty Amber

2 Barspoons Jägermeister
1 1/2 parts Gin
1 part Roses Lime Juice
2 parts Fresh Lime Juice
Stir all the ingredients on ice in a mixing glass and strain in a cold coupette.
