Single Life gets a Boost with Swoon

Despite the multitude of people in New York City being single is rough. It is harder to find someone compatible than it is to find a 24 hour gym. Online dating is at an all time high and even that comes with the fear of rejection or lack luster responses.  Thankfully for all you single people Swoon has come to help spark communication and interest without any guess-work. The Swoon app allows singles to browse a lengthy catalog of potential mates with a simple swipe. Upon opening the app a picture of a single in your specified area pops up and the user can swipe no for undesirables and yes to potential matches.  All swipes are anonymous until a match is made. Once there is a mutual attraction the option to send private message within the app allows singles to take the conversation to the next level while protecting their anonymity.

We caught up with the Swoon team on Tuesday night at the beautiful roof top bar of the McKittrick Hotel. The soiree was the culmination of a social media contest in which fans voted on the Bachelors and Girls of Summer. The winner of the contest was awarded a date with one of the 15 Swagger NY singles on Swoon. The singles as well as media execs and fans mingled on the rooftop enjoying premium cocktails and a fun photo booth to capture the evening’s silliest moments. The event gave swoon fans the chance to meet in person at the invite only gathering and enjoy complimentary cocktails in one of the city’s most exclusive lounges. Though you may have missed the event this week go ahead and download the app and get the latest news and of course the chance to meet someone new! The app is available for Android and iPhone users.
