The Cynthia Rowley Spring/Summer 2013 Collection was unveiled in the unique backdrop of The Abandoned Palace at 5 Beekman Street. The 70’s inspired looks could have stepped out of the Andy Warhol factory. The wide leg pant is truly back for Spring-seen in this collection with graphic prints and sequins.
Ms. Rowley has also managed to make culottes cool again in a matching ensemble emblazoned with a large paisley graphic. There are fresh track short ensembles that make you want to strap-on your roller skates and dresses come in disco ready colors like electric blue and gold.
The models were styled in over-sized glasses and painted trucker hats reinforcing the club chic vibe.
As with previous seasons Ms. Rowley expressed her love of water-sports by showing a silver professional grade wet suit. The designer is a huge surfer. She escapes to Montauk on summer weekends to catch some waves. You are sure to spot her sporting this liquid-silver look on the beach in 2013 and she won’t be the only one.
