Lollapalooza 2011: Inside the Miami Express Yourself Oasis & Express Rocks Suites

This past weekend music fans and celebs alike made the annual trek to Chicago’s Grant Park for the 20th Anniversary of Lollapalooza. While Chicago’s weather proved to be a rainy challenge to some everyone still had a music filled blast!

The 3-day concert event kicked off Friday morning and ended Sunday night with a ton of fabulous Lolla related events happening around town.

The place to be if you weren’t on festival grounds or if you were trying to cool off and hide from the rain was the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, which played host to the Express Rocks Suite and the Miami Express Yourself Oasis.

The Express Rocks Suite, a spot for VIPs, celebs and media, became a chic small concert venue with performers such as Samantha Ronson & The Undertakes and Taylor Momsen & The Pretty Reckless rocking the BMI Stage. The crowd noshed on snacks from Qdoba Mexican Grill and Whiskey Bar & Grill and stayed refreshed with beverages from Mio Liquid Water Enhancer, UV Vodka & Asahi Beer. Guests also got a chance to check out the latest looks from Express and try out Kinect for Xbox 360. One of my personal favorite highlights was watching celebs like Samantha Ronson try out and quickly give up Kinect.

The Miami Express Yourself Oasis located 2 floors above The Express Rocks Suite, offered VIPs and artists a place to hangout, relax and dance to DJ sets by Mia Moretti, Hey Champ, Hollywood Holt, Lady Gaga Producer DJ White Shadow and Jamar Eaton of Superfun. Guests had an opportunity to pick up swag from got2b, Bausch & Lomb, Clearasil, Popchips and Guess. More daring guests were able to get tattoos courtesy of Code of Conduct. Some celebs spotted in the Miami Express Yourself Oasis included John Legend, Model Chrissy Teigan, LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian, Samantha Ronson, Kellan Lutz & Questlove of the Roots.

Lolla weekend wrapped up with a rainstorm and some slightly muddy concertgoers but overall was a huge success!
