Korean menswear house General Idea brought their signature preppy style to NYC fashion week just last week. The geeky-chic line envisions Fall 2011 awash in colors and varying textures. The creative force behind the up and coming brand Choi Bum Suk, offers vibrant shades and innovative cuts to the Fall roster. We loved his take on the traditional Fair-isle sweater. The addition of the quilted scarf was a great detail.
Along with casual looks for every day Bum Suk brought out some fine tailored pieces to found out the collection. Is there anything better than a sharp dressed man? We adore this 3/4 length tuxedo inspired coat. The zippered pockets add an element of casual to this grown up style. Crimson red was clearly the color of the evening and it fit in well with the style of the coat and the contrasting sleeves and lapel.
No Fall collection is complete without a touch of black. We adore this mixed media fur lined coat with zipper detail. In keeping with the explosive color Choi paired it with crimson slacks.
Created with an air of fun and just a smidgen of geekiness General Idea sent us a crimson wave of fabulous fashion.
