As NYC fights its way through a pounding snow laden winter nightmare, Ann Taylor dreams up a summer filled with color, light and Mexican flair. Bloggers, Buyers and well wishers were invited to the warm and inviting Glasshouses of Chelsea for an evening of cocktails hor d’oeuvres and most importantly Ann Taylor‘s Summer 2011 collection. Bright colors and soft tactile fabrics combine with neutral staples for fun flirty ensembles, designed to endure the wrath of summer. Highlights of the collection include:
This stunning artfully tiered dress. The subtlety and softness of this piece is a welcome change from winters more structured wardrobe.
We loved the addition of this citron top to this neutral jacket and pant combo.
The explosive colors and design of this print are a perfect fit for the spirit and energy of a summer’s night.
Ann Taylor is far more than easy pieces and pretty dresses they are also an accessories powerhouse with amazingly detailed jewelry and shoes. We adored these gladiator sandals. The coral shade will be a lovely compliment to sun drenched skin tones.
We also loved this heavily beaded necklace. It is a great statement piece that works well with neutrals and brights. A great addition to any wardrobe we would also love to see it with a strapless maxi dress.
The North East continues to be bombarded with snow fall and near arctic temperatures in one of the harshest winter’s in years. A merciless nightmare of frost and never ending snowfall, that thankfully is only temporary. We at were granted an all too brief reprieve from the chill, as Ann Taylor transported us into a summer filled with hope, promise and great pieces.
