Even as an adult it is great to have an anthem, for whatever reason, that helps you release any fears in the world you may have.Impossible by Barbados’ own Shontelle is pinned perfectly as an anthem for a new generation of lovesick girls. Billboard has even stated, as Impossible climbs up the charts, “Shontelle shines on Impossible, giving one of the year’s standout female vocal performances and recalling the poignancy and technical precision of Beyoncé‘s Irreplaceable.” The 24-year-old has not only toured with Beyonce but has also worked with fellow Bajan sensation, Rihanna. Impossible, currently available for download, is off her second album No Gravity, soon to be released.
John Simon Daily caught up with Shontelle before she took the stage at Girls Who Rock benefit concert. The concert was in support of She’s The First’s global education campaign. The concert also featured outstanding performances from Kat De Luna, Vita Chambers, MoZella, Lenka, Kelli Pyle, and Cara Salimando.
