Incredibly talented designer Rebecca Minkoff has yet again made an amazing contribution to wickedly fashionable woman everywhere. Hosted by Rebecca Minkoff at the Metropolitan Pavilion, Minkoff presented her Spring 2010 collection. The theme of the line was referenced by the designer herself as “Pretty Tough”. In a short but sweet interview, Minkoff stated she acquired her inspiration from an infamous Lindberg photograph circa 1987. The photo featured 5 of the most recognizable supermodels of our time looking beautifully edgy. You couldn’t help but notice the miraculous early nineties influence as the models were poised along each other in the Minkoff presentation. A little black dress, designed with a power shoulder, ballerina neckline with slightly bubbled A-line skirt, spoke volumes of the fashionable era. Minkoff brought back the security of dressing femininely powerful. A great white boyfriend blazer paired with simply skinny jeans or shorts, provocative black lace camisole paired with inexpensive black pants and a signature studded Minkoff handbag. Triumphantly, Minkoff displays how to pair statement making pieces with everyday clothes we may just have tucked away in the back of our closets. Vixaness party dresses, designed with flesh tone bodices, black lace covered cut-outs, and form fitting bustiers versified the sexy within the collection. Celebrities love the looks and accessories of Minkoff; Gossip Girls Michelle Trachtenberg being one of them; was spotted at the viewing. A great look of what’s to come for Spring 2010, congratulations to designer and team!
